Almond Pie Ingredients

Cooking Almond Pie:

Step 1: Process the almonds.

Pour the almonds in a bowl with boiling water and leave for as long as possible, you can also overnight. Carefully peel the brown peel from each nut. It will be much better if you dry the peeled almonds in the oven. Then grind it in the combine or with a knife, manually. It should result in almond nibs.

Step 2: Cook the dough.

Beat eggs into a separate bowl and beat with a whisk or mixer until lush foam appears. Now, while continuing to beat, add a little vanilla and regular sugar until a slightly viscous creamy mass forms. When it increases, you can add liquor gradually. Then add the lemon zest. Add chopped almonds in parts and very carefully move the whisk from the bottom up.

Step 3: Bake the cake.

Take a mold with detachable baking sides and place a special baking sheet on its bottom. Smear the sides and bottom of the mold with butter and a little powder with flour. Now pour the dough into the mold. Preheat the oven to 180C and place the dough form on the middle shelf. Bake the cake for about 30 minutes. If the top of the cake burns, then cover it with a sheet of foil.

Step 4: Serve the almond cake.

Remove the finished almond cake from the oven and let cool for a while directly in the mold. When the cake has completely cooled, carefully transfer it to a plate and sprinkle with icing sugar to decorate. Serve almond cake can be both hot and cold. Good appetite!

Recipe Tips:

- - As a delicious addition to the pie, you can use ice cream with cinnamon, fresh cream or vanilla ice cream. But keep in mind that when choosing the last two options, almond pie is best served hot.

- - If you do not like when large pieces of nuts fall on your teeth, then you can first grind them into small crumbs.
